Inventory Control Specialist

The Inventory Control position is the Distribution Center’s individual committed to the accuracy and up keep of our inventory.

The duties will include:

1)      Completing a count of our Top 200 sku’s weekly

2)      Completing cycle counts daily

3)      Assisting in the unloading and receiving of Special Orders (P.O receipt confirmations, etc.)

4)      Assisting in creating Debit memos for product being returned to vendors

5)      Investigating discrepancies between computer on hands and physical on hands

6)      Working inventory reports weekly

7)      Processing inventory adjustments

8)      Assist Transfer coordinator and Contract Sales dispatchers in filling stock outs

9)      Analyze manifested paperwork for incorrect substitutions and manifesting errors and make corrections where necessary

10)   Work with inventory control Manager to promote and enforce inventory friendly practices

Qualifications:

• Comprehensive product knowledge of Lumber and Building Materials
• Experience with retail replenishment systems
• Experience with AS400 replenishment system is a strong asset
• Good Microsoft Excel skills
• Able to handle a large workload with speed and accuracy
• Able to work under tight deadlines is a must
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
